Purpose

For me, the greatest benefit that the Association provides is the fact that we have one voice representing all of us. We have a good relationship with Dogtopia Enterprises, and the influence that one voice can have versus many individual voices is significant. I also appreciate the Association insurance program. It has saved me a ton of money, and I don’t know what I would do without it. Trying to stay up on all the insurance changes and find coverage on my own? You can’t beat the Association program. Our profit study—other franchisees willing to share information to you know how you stack up—that’s been very valuable for me. It allows me to see what’s possible if I can get my volume to a certain level. I feel the Association just keeps getting stronger and stronger, and that helps all of us.

A prime example of the value the Association brings to franchisees is their work in securing excellent legal counsel, at no cost to us, to help reconstruct the franchise agreement. But there have been brief periods in the past when leadership was not operating in the best interests of the organization or the franchisees. That’s when the franchisee community needed to be heard, and the Association took the lead and made the difference in those moments.
